What type of events can I find on Fort Hays Arts?Fort Hays Arts is a central hub for all public events hosted by the FHSU School of Visual and Performing Arts. We regularly feature student art exhibitions, visiting artist exhibitions, instrumental ensemble performances, theatre productions, and choral ensemble performances. With a variety of events to choose from, there’s truly something for everyone!

What should I do if I need special accommodations?Ensuring accessibility is a top priority for us. We strive to make all our events inclusive and accommodating to everyone, providing necessary support when needed. What are admission costs for Art and Design events and exhibitions?All Art & Design events are completely free to the public and do not require tickets.

I am looking for private art lessons or for art/design commissions. Where can I look?We are slowly growing our online collection of local artists and designers who offer private art lessons or are open to commissions. Please check out our Hire a Local Artist page for lists of individuals who may be offering theses services.

I have miscellaneous art supplies and/or equipment I would like to donate. How do I do that?Art and Design takes a variety of donations depending on the current needs of our faculty and students. I have metal to donate to the sculpture program. How do I do that?Tobias Flores accepts a variety of metal for sculpture pours each semester. If you have a large item donation and need assistance transporting it, we have a trailer and can arrange pickup. Please contact Toby at trflores@fhsu.edu or the Art and Design office to coordinate. I have a piece of artwork I would like to sell or donate. Who can I contact?Fort Hays State University does not allow the purchase of art for gallery collections. If you have a piece of artwork you would like to donate, please contact the Moss-Thorns Gallery of Art to inquire if space is available. What is the cost to attend Music and Theatre events, concerts, or shows?Most of our music events are completely free to the public. If an event is ticketed, such as theatre shows, we will say so in the event description alongside the standard ticket pricing.

I cannot attend an event in-person. Is there any way for me to get a recording or view it any other way?Music and Theatre tries to livestream all of our public concerts. You can view past livestreams here or go to our Youtube channel to watch in real time.
